How to Save a Life THE SERIES - Episode 9 - November 19th

CHACE VO: SAY GOODBYE TO THE WAY I WAS BEFORE.

Kale and Brad at at their house, packing. It's Friday morning and they are discussing their trip with their parents.

MRS LAWRENCE: I'm just happy you two are spending time together again.
BRAD: Mom.
MRS. LAWRENCE: Though, I am not too thrilled about you guys missing school.
KALE: Mom, it's just one day. And we'll be back Sunday afternoon. Please, stop worrying.
MR. LAWRENCE: Yeah, Rita, they will fine. They are big boys now.
RITA LAWRENCE: Oh, I know... Come here.

Rita goes over to her sons and pulls them both into a hug.

RITA: Make sure to call us when you get there so we know you guys are safe.

Both boys answer at the same time.

BRAD: We will.
KALE: We will.

Both boys say goodbye to their parents and head out the door.

There's a War Inside of Me.

Someone is dreaming. Riley is in the highschool gym, dancing. But she's alone, instead of with her team. Ben is in the audience, watchng. Riley walks over to Ben, leans down so that her face is inches away. As she leans in to kiss him, the dream stops.
Ben wakes up, a bit freaked.
Ben and Kale are at their lockers in the morning, discussing Riley.
KALE: I just, cant believe they didn't put Colin in jail after what he did. Its just ridiculous.
BEN: Yeah. Well, at least he moved away. And Riley got a restraining order. Hopefully, shell never see that guy again.
KALE: Yeah, HOPEFULLY.
BEN: Riley seems to be doing better though.
KALE: Yeah, she's good.
BEN: And, what about you guys? Are you good?
KALE: What are you implying?
BEN: I dunno, Kale. You tell me.
KALE: Why the sudden interest?
Ben hesitates for a second, thinking about the dream he had that morning.
BEN: No reason.

How to Save a Life THE SERIES - Episode 7 - October 31st

RILEY VO: PERCY BYSSHE SHELLEY ONCE SAID, "FEAR NOT FOR THE FUTURE."

Lauren and Ben are at school and they are worried for Riley.

BEN: I just, don't really know what to do, you know? I mean, we're not good enough friends yet for me to really interfere in the situation.
LAUREN: I know. I told her she needs to tell someone about Colin. But that's really up to her.

The two continue to talk a little. Chris walks in with Erica and Lauren is clearly frusterated.

BEN: Lets just go to class.

He puts his arm around her and they walk in a different direction.

How to Save a Life THE SERIES - Episode 6 - October 28th

It's 8:15 am and the kids at Vancouver High School are gathered in the gym for a school assembly. Riley, along with her fellow dance team girls are performing for the school. Kale and Ben are sitting together in the bleachers, watching. Colin, standing in the corner, is also waching.

COLIN VOICEOVER: I'm your biggest fan.

Cut to outside where we see Lauren, who is getting out of her car and running into the school. It's raining hard outside and you can hear thunder roaring in the distance. She runs into the gym, dripping water. She spots Ben and Kale and runs over to them, shaking water onto Kale purposely.

KALE: Hey, you brat!

Kale playfully shoves her and the two play fight back and forth.

KALE: Someone forgot to set their alarm last night.

Ben sits there, continuing to watch Riley perform.

LAUREN: How's Riley doing?
KALE: She looks pretty great to me.

Lauren scoffs.

LAUREN: How many times a day do you say those words?
KALE: Aww, don't worry, L. You look pretty great too.
